Keep the edges down

A mounted kit fails in one place: the edges. Three habits keep them down.

Three habits

Wash by hand

Mild soap, water and a soft sponge or mitt. Wipe along an edge, not into it.

Keep the pressure washer off the edges

Close pressure on an edge can lift vinyl that was mounted correctly. Pressure washing isn’t covered by the guarantee.

Keep solvents off the graphics

Brake cleaner, carb cleaner and strong degreasers attack the adhesive. If one splashes, rinse it with water right away.

Peel the clear film off the graphics.

Roost marks, boot scuffs on the side panels and some fading over a season in the sun. That’s riding, not a failed mount.
